Welcome to Alpiness Coliving! We are thrilled to host you in our coliving space located in the breathtaking Swiss Alps. While we encourage you to make the most of the incredible outdoor activities available in our area, it’s important to clarify our role and your responsibilities during your stay.
By booking with Alpiness Coliving, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions:
Cancellation policy
- If you cancel your stay more than 30 days in advance, you can keep your deposit as a credit to be used for your next booking within the next 12 months.
- From 30 days to 7 days prior to your arrival: we charge a 20% cancellation fee, the rest is given to you as a credit to be used for your next booking within the next 12 months.
- From 7 days to 72 hours prior to arrival: 50% cancellation fee, the rest is given to you as a credit to be used for your next booking within the next 12 months.
- Less than 72 hours / no show: 100% cancellation fee
The credit you get in case of cancellation is transferable, which means you can give it to a friend if you can’t make it to the coliving in the following 12 months.
Cancellation Policy for Shortening Stays
Our coliving space operates with a minimum stay of two weeks to ensure stability and proper planning for all residents. Shortening a stay impacts our ability to rebook the room and maintain the community dynamic. Therefore, the following policy applies:
- If the shortening is of 14 days or more our regular cancellation policy applies
- For other shortenings, remaining rent for the canceled period is due unless we manage to rebook the room. Of course we’ll try our best, but since our minimum stay is 14 days, these cancellations will be harder to rebook.
- Cancellation made during the stay is non refundable.
House rules
Respect others and the staff
At Alpiness Coliving, we pride ourselves on being an inclusive community. Diversity is one of our strengths, and our residents come from various income levels, educational backgrounds, cultures, and experiences. To ensure a positive and welcoming environment, we have a strict no-tolerance policy for the following:
- Hateful, or racially offensive statements or bullying, defaming, abusing, harassing, harming, or threatening anyone (including our staff) during your stay at Alpiness Coliving is grounds for immediate dismissal without compensation.
Respect and inclusion are core to our community values—let’s uphold them together.
Cleanliness and tidiness
At Alpiness we do have many things in place to make your life easier and more comfortable (weekly room cleaning, daily shared space cleaning and maintenance). However, it is important to note that while you are here, Alpiness will also be your home. We expect guests to clean after themselves (especially in the kitchen) and keep their belongings tidy in shared spaces.
Activities
At Alpiness Coliving, we are a team of 3 founder + 1-2 volunteers / Community Managers onsite to enhance your coliving experience. Every week, we’ll come up with a variety of activities that we’ll write on our house board.
We however also expect from our guests to be proactive in activity planning and suggesting ideas for things they would like to do during their stay.
We are happy to support and guide you in creating your own experiences and events, but it’s up to you to take the initiative and organize the activities you’d like to see happen. Our weekly family meeting is the perfect moment to suggest anything you would like to see happen / organize.
Damages
Alpiness Coliving is not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to persons or property during your stay. Guests are accountable for any damage or theft they cause to the property and will be required to reimburse Alpiness Coliving for the full amount of the damage.
Assumption of Risk
- Personal Responsibility
- Alpiness Coliving does not provide guiding services for outdoor activities. Any activity you choose to participate in, such as skiing, snowshoeing, ski touring, via ferrata, climbing, trail running, hiking, or similar, is done at your own discretion and risk.
- You are solely responsible for assessing your physical condition, skill level, and familiarity with the activity to ensure your safety.
- Participation with Team Members
- Occasionally, Alpiness team members may join activities as fellow participants. However, their involvement is informal and does not constitute professional guiding, instruction, or supervision. Their presence does not shift responsibility to Alpiness Coliving or its team members.
- Nature of Outdoor Activities
- Outdoor activities inherently carry risks, including but not limited to injury, weather changes, avalanches, terrain hazards, wildlife encounters, and equipment failure. By participating, you accept these risks.
Waiver of Liability
- Release of Claims
- By booking with Alpiness Coliving, you waive any claim or demand for damages against Alpiness Coliving, its owners, team members, or affiliates arising from injuries, accidents, or other incidents during your stay or participation in activities.
- Indemnification
- You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Alpiness Coliving and its team members against any claims, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) resulting from your participation in outdoor activities or the use of equipment, facilities, or advice obtained at Alpiness.
Acknowledgment of Terms
By completing a booking with Alpiness Coliving, you confirm that:
- You have read and understood this waiver in full.
- You accept all risks associated with your stay and participation in outdoor activities.
- You agree to release Alpiness Coliving and its team members from all liability as stated above.
