At Alpiness coliving we love to do hut hikes during the summer and there are plenty of possibilities around the coliving. There are 7-8 huts that you can easily access in our valley (in fonction of your hiking experience) offering plenty of options for multi day hikes. Today we are going to share here one of our favorite so far: Climbing to the top of Mont de l’Etoile after spending the night at the Aiguilles Rouges hut.

In fact Mont de l’Etoile is the summit we see all day long from our coworking space. So after looking at it for long working hours, no wonder we wanted to go on top and check the views from there 😉 (you have incredible views over Matterhorn, Dent Blanche and other iconic peaks from up there). Plus another nice thing about this hike is that you can leave at the beginning of an afternoon to go to the hut and be back the next day at the end of the morning. Which means if you are a bit flexible with work you can still do the hike and get some stuff done the same days!

If you feel adventurous, you can also wake up super early at the hut to try reaching the top for sunrise. We did it once with some colivers and it was an incredible experience! Just to give you a taste, here are a few pictures of this beautiful hike:

If you need additional informations about this hike, we wrote a detailed blog post about it on our travel blog. You should find there everything you need to prepare this nice little adventure in our mountains.
